Terms & Conditions for General, Hospital and Jail Notary Services​

Unfortunately, Office appointments are 95% "no show," meaning the customers don't show up at all or don't cancel the appointment in a timely manner. Therefore, there will be a $20 initial deposit for office notary appointments only before rendering the notary services. Please read the following information:

General, Hospital, and Jail Notary services are provided at an agreed-upon fee when requested via email, online, phone, or text. YOU, the customer requiring the notary services, have the freedom not to accept the agreed notary fee, and you are not obligated to use our services.
By agreeing to these TERMS AND CONDITIONS, you are aware of entering into the following agreement:

There will be a $20 secured deposit for office notary appointments only. Secure deposits will be credited towards the notary service final balance of performed notary services.

Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Pay are payment methods accepted for secured deposits. Please call 408-431-0142 for payment information so you can submit your payment successfully and promptly. ​​

The payments accepted for concluded notarizations are Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Check, or Cash. (If paying with cash, please bring the exact change.)

Secured deposits are non-refundable unless:

The notary appointment is canceled in writing via email to Homenotaryservices@gmail.com or text at 408-431-0142 one hour before the scheduled notary appointment.

The notary appointment is scheduled within less than an hour, but the customer cancels it before the notary leaves for his office.

Any last-minute changes to the agreed-upon notary appointment may result in additional fees. These additional fees will be disclosed before you meet with the Notary and before the notary services are rendered.

Notary services will not be rendered if pertinent information or legal requirements for the notarization are missing, including, but not limited to, proper identification, appointment location, secured deposits, missing documents, etc. However, travel fees may apply.

You understand that a travel fee will apply to all mobile notary appointments, including, but not limited to General, Hospital, and Jail, upon the Notary's arrival at said signing location unless:

The notary appointment is canceled in writing via email to Homenotaryservices@gmail.com or text at 408-431-0142 before the Notary is en route for said scheduled notary appointment or
-
If any issues arise that are directly and specific to the Notary, such as scheduling errors, being unprepared, or delays on the Notary's part. ​

You understand that full payment is required for notary services rendered at Hospitals, Jails, and Home Care facilities before they can be rendered.

If the Notary does not arrive within 1 hour of your scheduled appointment and services are still rendered, you may receive up to a 50% discount at management's discretion.

​All general notary services must be scheduled with at least two hours' notice.
​

​​You understand that an on-time appointment is allowed only 15 minutes past the Notary scheduled time before the appointment is considered canceled, including, but not limited to
-
​signers who cannot sign within 15 minutes of the appointment start time
-
​having improper identification
-
unsure whether or not to sign the documents
-
disputes or disagreements between parties
-
not having the document ready and in hand
-
Arriving late to the appointment.

Or for any other reason. As a Mobile Notary, I do keep a very tight schedule.

You understand that if the Notary waits more than 15 minutes, the appointment will be canceled, and the travel fee will be charged, even if the notarization did not occur.

You understand that if the Notary agrees to wait until any issues are resolved, the Notary will charge $1 per minute after 15 minutes have passed.​

You must have a CA-approved Identification for the notarization of your documents. You may provide Credible Witnesses if you do not have a CA-approved Identification. ​

If you wish the Notary to provide credible witnesses, you agree to pay an additional $50 fee per credible witness.

You are also aware that I am not an attorney, and therefore, by law, I can not give you legal advice or instruct you on how to complete any of your legal documents.
