Terms & Conditions for Apostille and Notary Services​

​

​Apostille and Notary services are provided at an agreed-upon fee before booking your Apostille order via email, online, phone, or text. Customers entering their Apostille orders are free not to accept the agreed fee. There is no obligation to purchase the Apostille services.

 

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you know and are aware of the following: 

 

  • You agree to submit full payment before Apostille services are rendered.

  • You are aware and understand that Apostille Services' are non-refundable unless the requested appointment is canceled in writing via email to Homenotaryservices@gmail.com or text at 408-431-0142 an hour before the requested appointment time. ​

 

  • Any last-minute changes to the agreed-upon Apostille/Notary order may result in additional fees. These additional fees will be disclosed before meeting with the Notary and rendering the Apostille or notary services.​

  • Apostille and Notary services will not be rendered if pertinent information or requirements are missing, including, but not limited to, proper identification, appointment location, initial deposits, or missing documents, to name a few.

  • Customers must be coherent and willing to sign the documents of their own free will.

​

  • If the signer is unwilling or uncoherent to sign their documents, the notary may cancel the appointment at the Notary's discretion.

  • You understand that a travel fee will apply for all mobile Apostille/Notary services appointments upon the Notary's arrival at the agreed location unless:

    • The appointment is canceled in writing via email to Homenotaryservices@gmail.com or text at 408-431-0142 one hour before the requested appointment or 

    • Any issues that arise that are directly and specific to the Notary, such as scheduling errors, being unprepared, or delays on the Notary's part. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • ​​You understand that an on-time appointment is allowed only 15 minutes grace before the appointment is considered canceled, including but not limited to, 

    • signers who cannot sign within 15 minutes of the appointment start time

    • having improper identification

    • disputes or disagreements between parties

    • not having the document ready and in hand

    • Arriving late to the appointment. 

    • Or for any other reason. As a Mobile Notary, I do keep a very tight schedule.

  • You understand that having the Notary wait more than 15 minutes for any of the reasons mentioned above or any other issues that may arise and that are directly and specific to you, the customer, will result in cancellation of the appointment and charge of the travel fee even if the Apostille or notarization did not occur.

  • In the event the Notary agrees to wait until any issues are resolved, the Notary will charge $1 per minute after 15 minutes have passed.

​

  • If your mobile Notary does not arrive within 30 minutes of your scheduled appointment, you may receive a negotiated discount, but you may not cancel your notary services.​

​

  • If your Notary does not arrive within 1 hour of your scheduled appointment, you may receive a full refund if no services are rendered. If your Notary is 1 hour late and services are still rendered, you may receive up to a 50% discount at management's discretion.​​

  • You must have a CA-approved Identification. If you do not have a CA-approved Identification, you may provide credible witnesses. For jail notarizations, you may arrange for a guard or sheriff to act as credible witnesses before you meet with the Notary. However, it will be up to the Jail facility's rules and regulations to allow this.

​

  • Notarizations for Jails, Hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Home Facilities, and any other facility that falls under this category are normally scheduled for 1 hour only. After 1 hour of waiting, the order will be charged a $1.00 per minute fee. ​​
